That’s why we’re excited to introduce the Cash Discount Program, a new initiative designed to reward customers who pay with cash while helping us manage rising credit card processing fees.

    • MANY restaurants and small business in the Houston area have begun implementing this program to slow down price hikes that affect YOU, the consumer.

    • Adjusted Pricing: Our listed prices now include a small adjustment to cover the cost of credit card processing fees. This ensures consistency in pricing across all payment methods.

    • Cash Discounts: When you choose to pay with cash, you’ll see a discount automatically applied at checkout, giving you a lower price compared to paying by card.

    • Seamless and Transparent: The program is built into our Point-of-sale system, ensuring an easy and clear checkout process. You can see the price difference upfront and choose the payment method that works best for you.

  • Blame your credit card company for this change! Credit card processing fees vary by company, rewards features and much more. Since we opened, these fees have been charged to us and can add up. By implementing this program, we aim to:

    1. Reward YOU for Paying with Cash: We value every customer and want to offer savings to those who choose to pay with cash.

    2. Offset Rising Costs: Managing credit card fees allows us to maintain our high standards of service and quality while keeping prices fair.

    3. Support Small Business: As a local tea room, programs like this help us remain sustainable and continue being your go-to spot for special occasions, gatherings, and casual visits.

    • If you pay with cash, you’ll enjoy a small discount automatically applied to your purchase.

    • If you pay with a card, you’ll notice that the listed price already includes the adjustment for credit card fees—no surprises at checkout!

    Adding tax and automatic 20% gratuity will bring the price to $57.71

    Paid in cash, this is your total!

    Paid by credit card, an approximate 3% fee will be added to bring your total to $60.13.

    This price is still well within competitive Tea Room pricing for our area!

    This pricing example is for the Traditional Afternoon Tea only and does not include Tipsy Tea or SpecialTea upgrades.
