Effective for all reservations of 8 or more guests

We are a small tea room with limited space. When large parties book it takes tables off of our reservation system and we depend on this information to plan proper staffing and food preparations.

Please take this into account and review this policy carefully.

By completing your reservation, you agree to the terms below.

1.  Maximum Party Size & Reservation Limits

McHugh Tea Room enforces a maximum of 15 guests per lunch reservation. This policy exists to ensure every guest — whether dining in your party or at neighboring tables — enjoys the unhurried, elevated experience our tea room is known for.

•      Reservations are accepted for groups up to 15 guests only.

•      Splitting a party of 16 or more into two or more separate reservations is not permitted and is subject to cancellation or consolidation at management's discretion.

•      If duplicate reservations are identified (same name, phone number, email, or date), they will be combined and the Large Group deposit policy will apply.

2.  Deposit Requirements — Large Lunch Reservations (9–15 Guests)

A deposit of $50 is required to secure all reservations of 9 or more guests. Deposits are applied toward your final bill.

Deposit Payment Method

•      The person who books and pays the deposit will choose how the final bill is settled: an even split among guests, one check, or a gift card.

•      Deposits may be paid by credit card through our reservation system (blue button on this page) or over the phone with a staff member

Headcount Confirmation

•      Final headcount must be confirmed 1 business day prior to your reservation (during business hours).

•      Failure to confirm headcount may result in table reassignment or forfeiture of your deposit.

•      Changes to headcount on the day of the reservation will result in one of the following, at management's discretion:

•      Forfeiture of the deposit, OR

•      An additional charge for tables added or lost due to last-minute changes.

Gratuity

•      For groups of 6–15, an automatic gratuity of 20% will be added to the final bill.

•      A service fee may be retained from the deposit in the event of a forfeiture.

5.  Booking Agreement

By completing a reservation of 9 or more guests, the booking contact agrees to the following:

•      I have read and understand the McHugh Tea Room Large Group Reservation Policy.

•      I understand that my deposit is required to hold the reservation and may be forfeited under the conditions described above.

•      I agree to confirm final headcount by the stated deadline.

•      I understand that splitting a larger group across multiple reservations is not permitted and may result in cancellation.

•      I authorize McHugh Tea Room to charge the reserved headcount in the event of a same-day reduction or no-show.

We strive to accommodate special requests and modifications due to allergies and dietary needs.

Let our staff know of any special requests prior to your reservation or at the time of seating.

While we accept walk-in to-go orders, we recommend placing your order in advance to reduce wait times, especially during peak hours.
