  • Beautiful plates are presented on traditional tea tiers tied with colorful bows OR buffet style of beautiful silver trays. A gift table/guest teapot table is provided. Either style of service will include the following:

    *4 bottomless teas served in large tea pots from 60+ organic teas

    *2 flavors of scones, up to 48 scones, served with clotted cream, homemade jam & lemon curd

    *3 flavors of custom tea sandwiches (up to 72 total)

    *2 flavors of mini desserts lightly sprinkled with fairy dust, which is beautiful, edible glitter (up to 48 desserts)

Private Party Options at McHugh Tea Room

At McHugh Tea Room, we offer a range of options for hosting your private event, each designed to provide a memorable and enjoyable experience. Choose the package that best suits your needs:

  1. Elegant Tea / Superior Tea Private Party Room Package
    Enjoy an intimate setting in our private party room, perfect for up to 24 guests. This space is completely private and reserved exclusively for your event. You will have access to the room for up to 3 hours, including an additional 30 minutes before and after the event for setup and cleanup.

  2. Elegant Tea / Superior Tea Front-Of-House Party Package
    Ideal for gatherings of up to 35 guests, this package allows you to reserve the front-of-house area of our tea room. While the private party room remains open for regular reservations, you’ll have a semi-private space with dedicated servers to cater to your larger party.

  3. Platinum Party Tea Room Rental Package
    For larger events, the Platinum Party Package offers exclusive access to the entire tea room, accommodating up to 55 guests. This package is available for any party size up to 55, with a base rate starting at $5,000 for the full closure of the tea room.

Booking Details:
A 10% deposit is required to secure your reservation. Please note that a 2-week notice is necessary for a full deposit refund in case of cancellation.

Private Event Additional Costs Policy

At McHugh Tea Room, we are committed to providing a delightful and memorable experience for your private events. To ensure clarity, we’ve outlined our additional costs and policies below:

Base Package Inclusions:
Our private party packages include a set number of guests, a curated selection of teas and culinary delights, dedicated staff, and access to our charming tea room for a specified duration.

Additional Guests:

  • Private Party Room: Accommodates up to 24 guests. If you wish to add more guests, additional fees will apply per person, and seating comfort cannot be guaranteed.

  • Front-of-house space: Suitable for up to 35 guests. Additional guests may incur extra fees, with seating comfort not guaranteed.

  • Platinum Party Package: Required for parties exceeding 35 guests. This option includes exclusive use of the entire tea room for up to 55 guests.

Additional Costs Per Person:

Fees vary based on the time of day, package, and space chosen. Please contact us for a precise quote.

Additional Time:
For afternoon events, extra time can be added at $50 per half hour. Morning parties may only be extended if there are no reservations or parties booked in your space following your event.

Customization and Upgrades:
We offer a range of enhancements to personalize your event. Customization options and associated costs will be discussed in advance:

  • Fruit Skewers: $4.50 per 12 skewers

  • 8-Inch Round Cake: $45 (plain, fully iced, choice of cake and icing flavors, custom wording)

  • Party Favor Cookies: $7 per 12 (sugar cookies individually bagged, options include diamond rings dipped in white chocolate or tea bags dipped in milk chocolate)

  • Bottomless Mimosas/Tea Spritzers/Wine: $175 (alcohol-free mimosas available upon request)

    • By the Carafe: $29 (40 oz = 7 glasses)

Transparent Communication:
We prioritize clear communication regarding additional costs to ensure there are no surprises. All costs will be communicated during the planning phase of your event.

Party Deposit:
A $180 refundable deposit is required to reserve your party date and time. This deposit is part of the total cost of any package. Please call to check availability before completing the party form. Your reservation is confirmed only after we receive the deposit and you hear from a McHugh Tea Room staff member.

Refund Policy: Cancellations made with at least 2 weeks’ notice will receive a full deposit refund (minus a 7% credit card processing fee). You may reschedule your party once without a fee, provided the change is made at least 2 weeks before the original date. The deposit is non-refundable for holiday reservations.

Holiday Deposit:
A $300 non-refundable deposit is required for specific holiday dates, including May 27, November 25, December 16, December 23, and December 30. This deposit is part of the total cost and ensures your reservation on these busy days.

Cancellation Policy:
A 2-week notice is required for cancellations to receive a deposit refund (minus a 7% credit card processing fee). Cancellations made less than 2 days before the event will incur full package charges. The Manager will determine any additional charges based on preparations already made.

Outside Food & Beverage & Decorations:

  • Desserts: You may bring a dessert from a reputable commercial bakery. However, we do not provide utensils or to-go boxes for these desserts. If you prefer our staff to serve the dessert, please inform us in advance; a $25 service charge will apply.

  • Decorations: Feel free to bring decorations such as banners, balloons, and floral arrangements. Please avoid glitter, confetti, or play-doh.
